The area is ideally positioned to explore the island, as it is centrally located between Ciutadella and Mahón and close to the old towns of Ferreries, where there is a wide variety of shops, restaurants and local bars.

On a large privately owned estate with a beach nearby, this estate is less than a fifteen-minute drive to the centre of Ferreries and twenty-five to the centre of Ciutadella.

The area is an environmentally protected UNESCO heritage stretch of coast line and perfect for walking, bird watching, painting and photography. 
 
This is a very quiet and peaceful part of Menorca with numerous trails suitable for walking and cycling and, well worth a visit, is the near-by ‘Cova des Coloms’ - approximately 24 metres high and some 15 metres wide.
 
The traditional town of Ferreries has narrow streets, the pretty plaza ‘Plaça d’Espanya’ where there is a craft market on Saturdays; it has banks, shops, quality restaurants and great local bars.  

On Wednesday there is a night market between late June and early September in the streets of the old town, with stalls selling local crafts, clothes, leather goods and much more, there is also music and children’s entertainment from 19.00 to 23.00 hours.

Also within the old town there are a couple of artisan shoe makers and several jewellery designers

Ciutadella is the historic town of Menorca with its many churches, mansions and impressive building. Originally the capital of the island until the British made Mahón the administrative centre. 

As you arrive into Ciutadella from Mahón, the first thing you will see is a beautiful and impressive statue of a rearing black Stallion, a tribute to the famous and sometime notorious 'fiesta de San Juan', which takes place on the 23 and 24 June, when Ciutadella throngs with people from all over the island and beyond to enjoy the traditional festivities that date back to the middle ages.

In the Plaça d’Es Born, there is also the Es Born Theatre and a number of grand mansions. It is also the site of the 'Caragol des Bourne', which plays a major role in the fiesta de San Juan and home to a craft market that is held every Friday and Saturday.

Leading off from this square is a labyrinth of narrow streets, most of which are traffic free and Ses Voltes is the shopping area with mares’ arcades providing shade. The fish and meat market is impressive and there are several bars serving great Tapas

Ciutadella has some of the most significant religious buildings to be found on the Island, among them the Church of El Roser, now converted into an art gallery.

Along the harbour there are many good quality restaurants one of our favourites is `Restaurant S`Amarador` at the bottom of the steps and bars, where you can sit outside on the pavement and watch the world go by, many of the buildings retain the character of the old fishing port, which is now a thriving private yacht basin.
 
The pretty town of Es Mercadel is at the foot of Mount Toro, which stand at 357m and is Menorca’s highest point is close by. The town is very pretty with its white washed houses, quiet narrow streets and small bridges give it a feeling of time gone by. There is a main plaza and a good selection of banks, shops, quality restaurants and great local bars full of atmosphere and Meson Rias Baixas is the best restaurant for puelpo a la Galiega
 
Es Mercadal is known for its excellent food and it is still possible to taste typical Menorcan dishes in many different restaurants in the town: oliaigo amb figues (vegetable soup with figs), albergínies plenes (stuffed aubergines), carabassons plens (stuffed courgettes), calamars plens (stuffed squid) etc.
 
There is also a small local handicraft industry making avarcas, typical sandals, which historically were worn, by all the country folk and farmer, but now these shoes are very popular and come in a variety of different colours and designs.
