Menorca’s not only an island of natural beauty and amazing beaches, you can find some of the best food you’ll ever have (seriously) on the island. With so many restaurants to choose from we’ve tried and tested our personal favourites.
Laidback and authentic
Vineyard, restaurant and wine bar – a MUST when you’re on the island. The restaurant is in a stunning location overlooking the pretty vineyard and grounds. Their menu is seasonal and complements their delicious wines to a T!
This truly authentic restaurant is known for being the ‘best in town’ in Punta Prima. Many are captured by its charm and return time after time. Their menu boasts a great selection of Mediterranean favourites which will allow you to taste the true flavours of Menorca.
This relaxed family restaurant is celebrated for serving tasty local cuisine alongside beautiful coastal views. Their cocktails come well recommended which you can sip on while watching the sunset disappear over the Mediterranean sea and Fornells beautiful hills.
This traditional restaurant is uniquely located in the beautiful place of Cala Sa Mesquida. Set on a cliff overlooking the sea, this hidden gem is renowned for serving authentic dishes which are tasty, fresh and memorable!
The restaurant is a converted Menorcan townhouse and as you walk in it feels like you are going into someone’s house. We highly recommend a table outside on the romantic outdoor dining terrace. Their passion for food is represented by their amazing dishes.
Their menu is all about sharing and you’ll find a great selection of tapas, from the more traditional options to innovative and creative ones. You’ll leave here happy, with a full tummy and not have to break the bank!
A great spot for cocktails, some snacks and a lovely view of the harbour on Mahon port. During the summer months on a Sunday afternoon, you can enjoy live music with a wide range of bar snacks and tapas to complement!
Fine Dining / Special Occasions
This is a perfect choice to enjoy a candlelit dinner where you can eat, relax and unwind in a delightfully romantic setting in a peaceful and rural location. A sanctuary for delicious food grown fresh on site- this restaurant is said to be a ‘little slice of heaven’.
A personal favourite of our Directors, this special place serves high-quality food based on fresh seasonal produce of the island. Their food is based on a fusion of French and Mediterranean cuisine all created by the head chef and co-owner Patrick. We highly recommend trying their taster menu if available!
Along the harbour with stunning views, the menu here is the Mediterranean inspired with the focus on using seasonal and fresh local produce. A great pick for vegetarians with plenty of choices and a difference.
Staying true to its rural past, this restaurant is a converted old grain mill. Focusing on rice and local produce, their chefs take traditional recipes and reinterpret them with new flavours to create a superb gastronomic experience. Their menu promises you an unforgettable taste sensation!
Set on a terrace with stunning panoramic sea views in Binibeca; Salitre’s menu may be small but they ensure what they do offer is cooked to perfection and fresh. Not only are you greeted with a lovely view but welcoming staff too.

Seafood Paradise
The quality of the food, the views and the outstanding service are just a few of the reasons people return to this restaurant. It’s simple seafood (and a handful of non-seafood options) cooked to perfection in a divine setting, what more could you want?
If you want a special meal with delicious seafood then we recommend S’Espigo. Along the harbour front in Mahon is this small and intimate restaurant with charming staff.
A must-try for one of the islands best Caldereta de Langosta (lobster soup), a Menorcan dish. Hidden away from the more touristy restaurants on the front promenade of Fornells, this gem offers a quintessentially Spanish dining experience.
The atmosphere here is perfect, wind down and end a day with a drink and delicious meal whilst enjoying the views out to sea. The food here is absolutely delicious. Everything is cooked to order, and the selection of wine is great and complements the food perfectly.
The surroundings, the interior, the staff and every little attention to detail could not be faulted. Fill up on the most delicious seafood, great wine and mouth-watering desserts.
Meat and Grill
With an abundance of authentic grilled dishes, this is an exquisite choice for those seeking speciality Mediterranean cuisine. This old estate on the beach of Son Bou has been transformed with care to perfectly present Menorca's natural and elegant character.
This typical Mediterranean style barbeque restaurant radiates a warm and friendly ambience. Predominantly meat based, their authentic menu offers a range of quality dishes which all have touches of Menorcan cuisine.
A meat lovers dream! Enjoy a fantastic selection of meats cooked to your taste and matched with a fine glass of red wine. You can understand why it’s a firm favourite with the locals!
A small and intimate restaurant with a laid back yet buzzing atmosphere where owners Pepe and Ana will be sure to make to feel at home. Offering a great selection of tapas, both traditional and modern, grilled meats and vegetarian options.
